Hi Mike

We are currently adding the finishing touches to the git game and we wanted your opinion on putting documentation and resources in our readme. If the level requires git describe, is it ok to the the man pages for git describe?

Yes. At a bare minimum, you should link to the man page for each command you expect the player to use.
