Firstly, the problems have nothing to do with story established just before ("writing code for tektron..").

The make directories and permission changes are commands that are rarely used in Ubuntu. I myself prefer to simply use the GUI for those things, despite knowing the cmds for them. The only use case is recursively changing permissions for a large number of files.

A better test, in my opinion, would be to install a package (sudo apt-get install...) or changing .bashrc or something similar.

These commands were actually selected by the Roboticists teaching the course. They felt these commands were used a lot in their workplace.

I will keep this in mind as I make changes to the course.

aah, I didn't know there was a lot of changing permissions in ROS and OpenCV. Do do something to tie it to the story better though, please.
