Alright so I fixed the issue in a very unorthodox way. I installed a test instance of the Plex Media Server on my Windows machine and downloaded the plugin bundle from here. I unzipped it in windows and copied it to the correct location then ran the server. Once I verified that it did indeed see the plugin and begin to download the index information I then stopped the server and copied the .bundle file over to the Linux server that is my main Plex instance. After restarting the server the ss-plex channel has now appeared and looks to be fully functional. I am thinking there is a problem with the way the unzip command is unpacking the bundle file contained here on github. Hopefully this helps someone get it up and running on their system!
I have installed the bundle per the instructions here in my Plex Plug-ins folder however the bundle does not show up even after a reboot. Any thoughts on why this may be? The Plex version is 9.12.15 and of course the ss-plex plugin version is the latest hosted here on git hub. I will play around with it tomorrow to see if I can get it working but just wanted to know if this is a known issue and already fixed?
