I eventually want to turn What Are The Odds into native mobile application that allows users to play the game remotely with their friends. In addition, I want users to be able to share photos and videos to create a content rich private and public feed. Lastly, users should be able to create groups where they limit the people that can see and interact with their past games.
2) What it currently does
Currently, What Are The Odds is very limited. Both users have to be using the same device to play the game together. The only advantage the web application game has over the "real game" is that you can sign in to save, and later view the past games of your friends and yourself.
3) Things you tried or ideas you had to get it working the way you want
I completed all my basic CORE and FLEX goals and the site runs pretty close to what I imagined. Some of the more difficult, time consuming aspects of the project for me were 1) creating the routes, and connecting the server, and 2) using populate with referenced relationship models.
Some of my ICEBOX goals I tried to implement were 1) create a photo upload tool, 2) use data validation, 3) incorporate a time stamp 4) and incorporate user comments. However, completing the core functionality of my web application took longer than planned, so I was unable to add these features. I hope to come back to this project over the next 6 weeks, and try and implement some of my ICEBOX goals.
