I would also like to bump this issue saying that slideshow support was added to the desktop site, and the images are very easily accessible now. Would be awesome if gallery-dl added support for this.

I would second this (for photo posts), currently I just get "No suitable extractor found" on Tiktok photo posts.

According to this comment, the directly photo links should be pretty accessible on dektop now: https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/issues/6217#issuecomment-1431677577

yt-dlp isn't going to add support to my understanding, because they consider photo downloads to be the domain of gallery-dl
