Map API functionality:

Choose which map to use (Google, OpenStreetMap?)
Connect to API
Get the route coordinations and data

Basic AR functionality prototype using Map API coordinates

Display something in target destination coordinates

Basic UI prototype:

Map-view
Compass-view
AR-view?

I would recommend to use the README.md to describe the app not for the TODOs list. You could create another .md file for your todos (and link it from the readme if you wish)
