Store the text in google docs in plain text #7

Why are you storing the data in google docs as ascii? It would be a thousand
times better if you could search through your notes in google docs - but this
won't work unless its in plain text.

I'm not talking about the encryption feature either. Just the unencrypted
storage method.

The decision for encoding was made mainly to avoid problems with certain
characters
and line-breaks etc. For Nocs 2.0 I'm looking into Document List API, so you
could
actually edit individual Google Docs documents as apposed to Spreadsheet cells.

I knew there must have been another reason. Well the method you would suggest
would
resolve it so that will be awesome - I think its a very important feature to be
able
search through old notes.

Can't wait for v. 2!

Nocs would be *far* more useful if it created individual documents that were
editable
through the standard google docs interface.

Yeah I definitely agree and I'm working towards this for Nocs 2.0.

Nocs 2.0 stores and synchronizes actual Google Docs documents!

Excellent. Does it also create a specific Nocs folder or just dumps documents
for
later organizing? I would prefer if Nocs had its own Folder, created upon first
document saving.

There's no folder management in Nocs 2.0. So if you want to organize your
documents
you'll have to do it in Google Docs for now. I agree though, having loads of
documents, it would be easier to have a separate folder. Either way, I'll think
about
it for the next version.
