Make everything work with networkx >= 2.2. #41

Hi All, I've made changes necessary to fix #35. Removed networkx 1.8 from local distribution, tested it with conda-based installation of networkx 2.2. For now all examples run with no errors, make test produces results equivalent to original. @fenderglass could you check it, please?
