as DSLR formats are now supported by OIIO via libraw, it would be nice to have this plugin available, primary to play DNG sequences from the various cameras like the Blackmagic, DigitalBolex ones or the hacked Canon DSLR's.

On ArchLinux (which I'm using for my integration machine) the provided version of openimageio is not built with libraw support. Leaving this open as a remainder to create a custom build.
