This is WIP. Do not merge.

I'm having an issue with passing a random_state through myia step function multiple times.

Run vae.py in examples folders to see the issue; (it currently is relatively ablated)

I believe the issue should be resolved by #361 which was just merged.

This has some problems besides the formatting errors. It will need more attention to make it work correctly.
