Possible to recieve sent signals from same raspberry pi? #63

Hello, I am using a raspberry pi 3B V1.2, and I am trying to send a signal, and receive it on the same raspberry pi for testing purposes. It is saying the signal is sent and I have a LED hooked up to the data pin and lights up as it should, but the receiver is not receiving it. I am using 3.9.2, not sure if this version is supported or not. Thanks!
