The BSP kernel is almost 1GB with modules and everything.
The configuration I've done has been geared towards getting Talos to boot (and Mayastor for a bit there), so I haven't really bothered to try and find things to turn off to shrink that some.
Starting with 1.7, kernel config is adapted from Talos with changes from Armbian for platform support merged in by hand, so the kernel is no longer gigantic.
