Why was your essay shadowbanned?

I think Hashnode was making it clear: If I want to earn money writing my essays, I need to share with them. Too bad they never said it to me explicitly and chose to quietly shadowban my essay.

Maybe they thought that if I mention a 3-rd party API and make a full disclosure, then the whole essay is an ad, which is simply not true. This is my typical essay, with insights, pain, chaos, obsession and everything else.

If I stripped it from every mention of a third party, nothing would've changed. But it got banned, and that's the definition of censorship.

How do you check if a post is shadowbanned or not?

Popular post usually yields 500-1000 reactions. Unpopular one — under a ten, but never zero.

If a post yields zero reactions and visits despite you having thousands organic followers, then yep, it's shadowbanned.
