Message: you must put something in the newsfeed text field. #7

Hello :)

I installed Echelon, but when i want register the Site settings, i have this message: Error! You must put something in the newsfeed text field. I tried many times, but always this message. Can you help me plz? Thanks by advance.

Thanks for reporting 👍

I have updated & fixed it in the current version now, you have 3 options:

  1. re-install the echelon.sql in your database
  2. Add the newsfeed field manually in your database, in ech_config, like this: image
  3. Reinstall Echelon.

You'll also need to replace echelon/settings.php with the newer one.

I have the same message, and i installed a clean version on the server (Urban Terror) i don t anderstand!!! Echelon is installed, but i can t made the site settings, with your Echelon or an other. I had to miss something, but what........................ Maybe a bad install of .sql: I created echelon in users, with "Database for user: Create database with same name and grant all privileges." and i imported the .sql in echelon. It s good?

Hmm, your database structure should look like this: image

Try to replace the inc/config.php with the updated one from ths repo.

If nothing helps, you should try to delete Echelon and the database and reinstall it.

I removed Echelon in Phpmyadmin and reinstalled the new echelon: the same!! :( It is possible whether it is not echelon the problem, but the installation upstream. Maybe a problem of rights or writing. Can you help me by pm (for codes), we shall post the solution later?

Re When i want install an other echelon (not your) i have like message: Error: Hack Attempt Detected - If you continue you will be removed from this site. Maybe the same problem?
