Choose username on signup #393

Make users choose a unique username on signup.

this will fix two bugs:

this will stop errors with the author search (since some users have null as usernames)
make sure a user page is accessible for each user
usernames need to be constrained to lowercase in database for user page urls

Have made database give people default usernames, as allowing username selection on signup would be difficult while still providing signup through github and discord.
