I am running into the same issue. Mine is with an HTC One w/Nova Launcher. It's
strange because when I go into the settings and tell it to Start Daydream, it
works perfect. Yet, when I have it charging and automatically go into daydream,
it just stays in portrait mode, even though I have it on a horizontal dock.

I am getting the exact same issue as #1 MRepro. I would love to see it work
properly in Daydream horizontal mode. (Samsung Galaxy S4 - AT&T)

It will not auto rotate after it is running. However, it will display in either
portrait or landscape according to the orientation of the phone when it is
launched.

I have the same issue. I have a kickstand case. If I plug the phone in while
it is sitting horizontally, daydream starts in portrait. It will never start
horizontally unless I go into settings and manually start daydream.

This is actually an Android bug, and not at all specific to DashClock:
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=40226
However, the dev of ClockPlus DayDream was able to come up with a
workaround/hack (it works on my Moto X on 4.4 anyway). The code is available
(see the links on the app's Play store listing), so DashClock should be able to
integrate it.

jrbell...'s observations match mine, re ClockPlus. I also discovered, (Samsung
Galaxy S3, Android 4.3), that if an app that normally autorotates is open at
the time DashClock starts, DashClock will rotate as well. Otherwise it stays
locked in portrait. It would be nice if DashClock could integrate the "force
autorotate" function. Still, DashClock is an excellent app.

I just want to say that I just installed it and it will not autorotate for me.
Only when I am in settings and start it from there will it autorotate.
