Opera Mini 5 error on PSPKVM #304

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The app installs just fine,
But when I try to open a website, I get the error:
"Verification of server certificate failed. Please check the date setting in
your device"

Spec:
PSP 3004
6.20, R96(or any)

Opera mini 5 is supposed to run in CFW.

and no, setting the time via internet does not help.

Are you sure those websites work on CFW as well?

@ametric, yup i've checked other sites, they run smoothly on CFW, and even if
the above error did occur, setting the time via internet helped. but that
doesnt seem to help in HBL

I get errors with most things on PSPKVM on my 6.20 3000. Works fine on CFW
though.

That's a syscall issue, sorry for 3000 and 2000 owners...
also see : http://code.google.com/p/valentine-hbl/issues/detail?id=17
I'll have a look and see if we can write an override for date handling.

n.delima23@yahoo.com.br: do not post such requests in issues comments.
- You can "star" this issue to know when it is fixed
- You can send us a patch that fixes the issue
- You can give us technical information on where/when the bug happens, how to
fix it and/or why it is important that this gets a higher priority

Otherwise please don't post, this is useless to the thread.

Friends I could run the PSPKVM + operamini and UCbrowser via HBL Rev97 with no
problem, my PSP version 6.10.

It seems some homebrews in HBL display the date and time correctly while some
display them incorrectly, i guess PSPKVM falls under the "incorrectly" part

I have used the midlet below to find out what date was PSPKVM reporting to
Opera Mini
It reported 01/01/2019 and the time was being reported as 5 hours before my
real time (-5 UTC). i hope this gets solved soon because otherwise one of the
best java midlets is being useless.
