HTML tags do not have 'id' as an optional attribute #88

The name pretty much says it all. This would be extremely useful for anchor links and the like for markup languages that don't have syntax for them.

You've done this yourself in your Markdown example page with the heading tags - is this just an oversight, or is there a specific reason to disallow it?

Sure. May take me a few days to get around to reading through the help pages on pull requests, though; haven't done one before.
