Still a bit buggy #31

Doesn't seem to find all needed portals. Almost seems like it only has the last tile.

Sorry to log issue, I really appreciate the hard work put into the extension.

This issue is known and still related to #30. I asked @mindon to rename and reopen the issue.

V4 is different from the v2, not supports specific level any more

mollyfud commented 11 years ago

Doesn't the zoom effect the level though? With the fix as it is, it seems you either search a very narrow area but all portals or a larger area but the level of portals found is restricted.

To let you know, and it might have been silly for me to do, but I have been using the export feature to feed a database that allows me to tract changes and new portals, etc. So I would really love for the plugin to get back to a point that I can enter my lat/log to/from settings and pull out my export files.

Good luck.

So, from a little testing (from a user side) isn't it still possible to do the same break up into titles and do requests with the zoom 17 (which seems to be the one needed to find the unclaimed portals). if I make the zoom/area work with the 17 zoom, it seems all the portals are found in that area but the area is small. If you use that feature that was added of adding more portals on, it seems it would be able to do this if it was able to do it on a more automated method.

JMTC. Sorry to be a pain on this, but really would love to see this back to all its glory for my own selfish reasons! ;-)

Well, this was already suggested by @peta in #30

I also miss the brilliant way of keeping snapshots of the city using the export to kml. Also a great tool to locate new portals as I dont get any confirmation mails from super-ops anymore. IITC was recently updated and seem to have working code to fetch the tiles, no more errors in the request queue. Could this be a timing issue ? Too many concurrent queries or too short delay between them ?
