There's a reason why the AppImage is built on an older Ubuntu system, and why we don't want to upgrade it. It's because an AppImage should be built on the oldest system we want to support. And in this case, the oldest system I want to support is 16.04. 18.04 is way too new and a lot of people use older distros.
