18 hours ago Identified as build infra issue, the m1 binary had version v1.1.x instead of v0.17.x therefore the breaking change didn't revert for macOS / arm64 release v0.17.1 will now be recreated from the correct sources.

I don't own a m series mac, my options for this platform are limited to zero testing

This change was not meant to fix anything for x86_64 aka intel macs. This issue is about arm macs.
