outdatedClient when joining a server #414

Hello,

I am trying to join a multiplayer server using MCPE Launcher but it kicks me with "outdatedClient" even tho I can connect to the same server using the same version on my Android phone.

I have tried all the versions available and I get the same error. The server admin said those versions should work but they aren't working.

Any idea why is this happening? Does MCPE Launcher change anything in the protocol version while joining a server?

I can't believe, this launcher doesn't even touch the protocol.

using the same version on my Android phone has worked.

You have to run the exact same version

Minecraft 1.16.10 cannot connect to a Minecraft 1.16.40 server

1.16.20 and 1.16.40 are muliplayer compatible. 1.16.0, 1.16.1 and 1.16.10 are muliplayer compatible. Similar for older versions

Only the offical server software / bedrock local multiplayer are verified to work. A custom server can send any error on unknown conditions.
