[flatpak 0.4; minecraft 1.16.40.2] Profile appearance does not save across runs #429

When launching the latest Minecraft with the stable Flatpak launcher, it doesn't remember my character profile edits, and instead restarts displaying a default character in the same slot.

Updating this issue. Running current (as of this post, 2020-11-30) macOS ng launcher, with current Minecraft, it manages to reset my profile to a default character on startup, but it does actually save my edits. So whatever changes I make from the ng launcher, including the failure to load resetting it to the default Steve, is saved to my account, and appears correctly on Windows and on the mobile apps on their native platforms.

i have never succesfully saved a character to my profile., it reset every time and this is even on v.18.10.04, i actually love that we can play on linux with the bedrock version, but it is a very basic feature to could save one's character.
