Which macOS Version? (Are both on Catalina or Bug Sur?) Assuming that you have installed the app in /Applications/Minecraft Bedrock Launcher.app

Could you please try to open the login host from a Terminal, (double quotes are important)

This should load the google search, close with red x

"/Applications/Minecraft Bedrock Launcher.app/Contents/MacOS/./mcpelauncher-webview" "xal://Test" "xal://"

This should print this line xal://Test and exit

The log seems to not include the error.

I get this error window on mojave if I close the window with the red x without finishing login. I cannot test catalina and big sur You might be able to login if you select 1.16.10 from the versionlist, sign in there and switch back to 1.16.101. It will open the previous login window

I'm on macOS 10.12 (Sierra) Both of these commands works as expected, the first one open a google search window and the second opens a window and quickly closes it. It prints xal://test

I managed to sign in using 1.16.10, however the login doesn't seem to carry forward when I switch to a later version

Does this modified version open the webview if you press sign in? Both does for me even on macOS 10.12.

I can get to the login window fine and click sign in, however when I do this it gives me this error and minecraft says failed to login.

Thank you for your additional information, I now understand whats going wrong here. Hopefully this works now. This version will still open a warning for additional diagnostic of login errors. Hmm status=1, This mcpelauncher-webview with qt5.9 doesn't seem to work on your machine.

The 10.12 dmg failed to built last time, will rebuild it
