Game displays at wrong resolution in Steam's gamepadui (on Steam Deck) #841

Open MisterSheeple opened 1 year ago

MisterSheeple commented 1 year ago

Describe the bug The game displays at a lower resolution than what the deck is capable of, and seemingly a 4:3 aspect ratio.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Add the launcher to Steam as a non-Steam app
  2. Go to gaming mode if not already there
  3. Open the launcher through Steam and start the game

Expected behavior The game would be displayed at the correct resolution and aspect ratio.

Screenshots Unfortunately I can't get a screenshot of this, sorry.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

Additional feedback:

Why is there no resolution selector built into the launcher?

You can press and hold the steam & R1 buttons to take a screenshot in gaming mode.

Unfortunately this is mostly a problem on Intel Drivers.

Please Check if there are any other Programs in the wrong resolution on GameScope. If so, then there is no current fix to this.

The Steam Deck does not have an Intel CPU.

Bind a button to f11 and press it. It’ll put the game in fullscreen, and it’ll stay that way every time you launch, so feel free to unbind f11. This isn’t a launcher bug, it just launches in windowed mode by default and in game mode windowed applications get maximized to fit the screen
