9 years ago actually, maybe what we should do is to manually add our defaults to the auto-insert-alist, in which case we just need access to the ACTION that you provide. Hmm yatemplate-expand-yas-buffer
in https://github.com/ensime/ensime-emacs we'd like to be able to provide some fallback templates for scala and java files but we don't want to mess with the user's preference. Is it possible for us to add a directory of templates to the search list?
