The files for the pt_PT layout. Unfortunately, I don't know how to make a patch.

Thanks! Appending just the files is fine, a patch is mainly useful if the
change involves edits to previously-existing files.

I'll integrate this in the next version.

Added in revision 0e700fbdf25f, with some minor tweaks - I added the non-dead
`^~ characters as alternates, and made a few escaping fixes.

Try v1.26rc1 (or later) from
http://code.google.com/p/hackerskeyboard/downloads/list .

Excelent, thank you!

I have another suggestion to make, which would require a lot more coding. Is
there a chance that ALT key can act as its physical version? On other words,
that I could use ALT to introduce a 3rd char and ALT+SHIFT to introduce a 4rd
char (this 4rd is not really needed in Portuguese, but I suppose there are
languages that use it). For example, ALT+2 would result in writing the @
symbol. (In this layout)

I've been using the long-press method as a replacement for AltGr modifier keys
as used by other languages. I don't think that it would be appropriate to use
the plain "Alt" key for this purpose, that would conflict with its use for
other purposes, such as Alt-X in Emacs.

I can revisit this once I have code for customizable key mappings, but it would
be difficult to do in the current version.

Included in Market release v1.27.

(See issue 87 for the proposed AltGr key handling)

Bulk update - changing "Fixed" to "Verified" for old bugs.

(Background: I'm changing the "Fixed" status to be considered open, the next
steps in the lifecycle will be the closed states "FixInTest" and "Verified".
This lets me mark issues as "Fixed" in commit messages without hiding them from
the issue tracker.)
