As well as using a different template for all of the html files, I am thinking
of
changing the satus display (at the bottom right) and the quit button into a
small,
unobtrusive menu.

Interesting look... I'm not totally convinced yet that this is better, but
I'll
reserve judgment. I have not looked at the code (css/html), but I suspect
that that
part is a better way.

I've changed the look again... It still needs some tweaking, but its pretty
much there.
My aim is to make everything look more "polished" in preparation for Version 1.0

Thanks for the bugfixes in revision 658 André :)
The only things I have an issue with are the white background on the h4s in
notes,
and the faint borders above and below block elements inserted by crunchy. I
feel it
looked cleaner without - but that's probably subjective aesthetics.

Feel free to remove the white background on the h4s in notes.
As for the faint borders: I'd suggest we keep them in for now. Perhaps this
should
be also looked at by Florian and Tao, for feedback :-)
Tables need to be worked on as well...

The header image needs a suitable alt attribute. Suggestions? (I think just
"Crunchy"
is a suitable value).

I just came across a blog post[1] with some very pretty popups. I had forgotte
about
all the various popups in Crunchy - will have a look at how they can be
prettified
after my exam tomorrow... if I haven't completely lost the will to live from
looking
at SQL code.

Sounds good. If possible, I think they should simply make use of css - not
javascript.
As for the header image (comment 6), I think that "Crunchy home" would be more
appropriate than "Crunchy" for the alt attribute. I plan to look into this
myself
when changing "Tests" to "Miscellaneous" - since the changes will have to be
made in
all the same files.

With the technical side of issue 68 now solved, we now need to figure out
exactly
what it should look like.
I personally like the idea of using an image - something like a stop sign, but
I am
still not sure where to place it.

Sorry, I hadn't seen revision 710. Issue 68 is now well and truly finished :)

The Python wiki at http://wiki.python.org/moin/ has a navigation side bar
similar to
the one we use, except that it is a bit more "subdued" (i.e. simple underline
as
opposed to changing font and background colours). Should we consider doing
something
similar instead of what we have now?

Considered to be completed.
