There was already a ticket for WebSub support, however it was closed for limited support #176 .
However, I'm seeing quite a few big sites supporting it, Few of them are:
CNN, The Hacker News, LifeHacker, TorrentFreak, Breitbart, GameSpot and Ars Technica
Few dutch websites seem to support it as well: Tweakers.net and "De Standaard".
Aside from that All the blogs on Medium.com support it (of which I'm following quite a few using RSS)
Maybe it makes sense to make a proper analysis on the time cost/benefit of implementing it vs how much it reduces load on the servers for those feeds.
