Some obvious points that may be good to include in the write up:
Investment is positively correlated with revenue. Just how it goes. The key quantity of interest in a way is revenue. Or revenue per $ spent on the lead actor/movie, no? Otherwise, it gives a slightly misleading impression.
Re. metracritics etc. kinds of scores, the worry is about bias in who rates. If men and women's ratings differ, and if men rate more often than women, it may explain some differences.
