Users of the SFTP data sharing tool will receive an email whenever a file is transferred. There is currently no way to opt-out of these emails. This results in emails that users may not be interested in being sent to them. There is also the possibility that this may impact on their perception of the tool, as it could be perceived as spam. The ability for users to control which emails they receive will negate this.
