✨ Authentication when deploying API to Cloud Platform with access to Analytical Platform #5502

Describe the feature request.

I am seeking an authentication solution which would allow only certain people/systems (namely a prisons digital service) to post a request to an API which is deployed on CP with access to AP. See Slack thread.

Describe the context.

Working on a data science project using AWS Bedrock to apply labels to data collected in a prisons digital service. In order for the digital service to use the model we have created an API which we need to deploy and grant access to the relevant digital service.

Value / Purpose

This would have value and applications across many different data science projects, there are already multiple use cases across DEDSAI for deploying a models via API to be accessed by digital services. Creating a solution to this would allow us to set a framework for future projects.

User Types

Data Scientists wanting to deploy products in digital services.

My team also expect to have a similar use case to this in 2025 and it would be helpful for us to be able to test out this deployment approach in advance of that. It would enable us to more rapidly deploy a Data Science product into Digital tools and make the case for this with our customers. Our use case is the Intelligence Management Service (IMS) and other related Intelligence services.
