As an engineer I want to work as efficiently as possible to maximise my learning and productivity. (Particularly as someone with dodgy memory recall).
Hypothesis
It is possible to overturn the old maxim "File in haste retrieve at leisure"; that is, to incorporate useful note taking into daily working behaviour in such a way that the note taking is quick, easy and ultimately useful (and findable) when rediscovered 6 months later.
Efficient note taking ideals
[ ] Take notes quickly and easily
[ ] Link notes by topic
[ ] Easily find pertinent notes
[ ] Don't spend too long
[ ] Independent of current role
Possible tools
Personal Google Drive plus Obsidian.
GitHub?
Work Google Drive - NO: No longer viable GSuite is being decommissioned
Work Sharepoint - NO: will not have access to notes outside of work
Organisational structure
By topic?
By date?
Does it matter if you can link notes easily as in Obsidian?
