The spreadsheet mostly calls for binary TRUE/FALSE responses in the various criteria, but filling it in I wanted to record comments too, and this was hard.
Use cases:
As the spreadsheet filler, where the answer is not easy and a judgement call is made, I want to record why I made that e.g. "
As the spreadsheet filler who is interviewing someone to get the answers, I want to record a bit of context, to provide a bit of auditability in case it's questioned later. "but they said at the time they usually deployed several times a day"
As a senior person reading off the spreadsheet wondering why a service got a red rating, I want a bit more detail. e.g. "not in control of their deploy process" would be better as "they have a CAB which only meets monthly" or "they need approval from a security manager, but they are in the same office and approval is usually obtained the same day". Or "I can see there is a license expiring on 4/5/2020, but what software is it talking about?"
I've tried adding comments a few ways:
in-cell text, but that messes with the automated colouring/scoring
cell comments, but that emails the sheet owner
adding a comments row below the service's row, but that changes the structure of the sheet and makes it hard to get an overall view of the services.
