You answered your own question.
The sound/alerts for ht-live is not compatible with the new HT-Live.
If you want it to work you need to use the old HT-Live (even though I'm not 100% sure even that works anymore)
EDIT : I just checked my last league game in Re-Live and the browser notifications work with old HT-Live but the sound doesn't seem to work for me in Firefox. Maybe it works in the "new" Alpha WebExtension. I have not yet tested this :)

It's many weeks that I don't hear goal sounds during live matches. The other sounds (ht mail, forum messages, etc) work correctly.
It's only my problem or something has changed?
