can you optionally have the embedding in a new spoiler type (see nested qoutes option). i'd like it embeded but prefer it to have the video visible on demand aka in a spoiler type

Oh yeah, nice idea, i have had a similar idea aswell earlier. Especially for pages with a lot of videos this would be very handy. I'll try to come up with something

I am trying a concept like this: http://www.weown.de/tmp/expandable_embedding.jpg

Could you imagine something like that? I thought using such an approach would integrate with the current look/feel.

also an option. though since there are spoilers and no expandable headers in the forum yet, i'm not quite convinced that it's more into the current look. does take less space then the spoiler though. if you wanna have fun, do both as option and we make a new poll in the foxtrick forum. people just love polls ;)

Yeah right, the forum really doesn't have much of that type yet. I just hate the current spoilers, gay colors, can't be collapsed once expanded etc. I doubt i'd have fun working on that. But mayb i will.

One of the things nagging me right now is that the "quite" generic toggle-header.js just works for headers, even if it could work for almost anything.

a) you could add a general script to close any type of spoiler again. i'd like to have that of hts spoiler b) hmm, what else you wanna collapse. ain't that much else. mainly forum postings there is limited need for that. but the bigger problem is see is with remembering last settings. any toogle is only useful i think if it remembers the setting when i open that page next. so, to do that for eg forum postings, we'd need to save like hundreds of postingsids to show them collapes next time

a) I guess i'll open a ticket on that b) I think understanding the collapsed/expanded state as a preference is a bit overkill. I can't remember collapsing or expanding something because i wanted it to be like that the next time i visit the page next time. Personally i just collapse stuff because it's in my way and it makes the site look more tidy. ;) And the only place i would probably be happy to have the setting rememberd (skill-table) doesn't seem to obey. How do you use it? Anything i missed? I rather see it as a nice method to expand information once required, not to hide it once i found it useless.

Optinally using oEmbed in Chrome in 442e719a72c991b5aa4d60375189c8dc487cb3b2 r8054. Support for deviantart, flickr, soundcloud added that way. Vimeo, YT, Funnyordie and dailymotion also use it when enabled.

Anyway, i guess the HTs wouldn't like if they get contacted by the hosters with the claim that the sites is the jump-pad for direct links which isn't allowed in most cases.
