Ratios are in fact much better then just showing the differnece in ratings. But the ultimate thing would be just to show the probability of scoring a goal in that sector. [/q]

Indeed. That's the thing that would most help people to understand what's going on in the match.

It would be ideal if they did it, so that we would not have to rely on 3rd party software to do the conversion for us. As we know that Foxtrick etc. will anyway implement it, there would be three advantages in a proper solution from the developers: 1) It can be made much better-looking, for example so that the probability is also (or solely) illustrated with colors and located in the proper place. 2) It would be accessible for everyone, not just for the managers who are familiar with the addons. 3) It would be more trustworthy for everyone. While the hardcore users know which formulas are accurate and which are not, there are a lot of managers would not thrust a 3rd party software to show the correct figures (which make sense -- we know that for many other things they show incorrect information) even though in this case they would be right.

let's have this ticket for everything we could come up with 0) figure out where to put all ratings-based modules 1) timeline persistent across tabs 2) show difference to the last-viewed time/event (like matchSimulator) 3) scoring probability 4) split player tab in two for home/away 5) better indication of events: different bgs/borders on timeline, sector/player highlighting etc 6) player faces 7) player links to orders tab 8) indicate subed players (with sub time) and highlight player-in/player-out on click 9) better directionality (def/off/tw) 10) change tabs into real links (parse query string or maybe use url#anchors and open tab in question) 11) add number to stamina bar 12) colorize stars based on their count N) save space

I'd really like ratings on the report tab, e.g. see (15855088.586)

Plus the sub position idea is also nice in that post (how to visualise it is another question)

I think I have the correct formula for the scoring. Or we can use the a study from the forums and make a list out of it. Either way we do, it is basically the same.

Another thing I would like to see, that the landing page for the match page is ratings details, not the report page.

As in decreasing the time to go over the development of a match without having to click 18 times? If so, that's totally a good idea. [/q]Exactly. I want to see a dynamic representation of what happens in the match to the ratings for each sector, whereby simply moving the slider down would show how the ratings change.Just one click and drag. And no, knowledge of HTOpen is of no benefit.

That could actually be quite cool, leaves us back with the need for a decent slider implementation again.

Either click or use the slider to select a time to reflect in the old style ratings(which are naturally right there to the left of the slider). Each 5 minute interval would show how the ratings 'evolve', starting from above the average ratings and slowly coming down with stamina as you adjust or click on the 'slider'.That's it. Nothing new, just use the old ratings but 'make them move'. That's what I mean't by 'dynamic'.:-)

people seem to have problems understanding that the home team is always on top. I added a module that puts the team name in the field. (and currently has a teampopupling related bug)

I propose we use that module to develop ideas and mayb split it later or something.

13) Add player specialties again, also, if player is not in the team anymore, use playerdetails to get them for those players, which is currently not happening.

I don't really like the idea because GK outfit should always differ from main team outfit and people can use all sorts of colours. That would mean creating a few different outfits (not really our expertise) and using one based on color difference.

In the end people would start moaning as they always do: this outfit looks terrible blah blah change it NAO blah blah.

TL;DR too much trouble for worth.

Best solution would be to allow people to use the outfit they want by entering an outfit ID in prefs.
