After the researcher finishes creating (or running) the study, the researcher might still want to look at the files to understand the condition names, and to refresh the memory about how it was programmed.
Then, there is a risk of changing something in files without noticing. I often feel that it would have been better if I could lock the editing of a study.
Would it be difficult to add Lock Study to the study menu? It will provide a read-only permission for the study. The menu will also have Unlock Study option, of course.
The pop-up box when requesting a lock:
Are you sure you want to lock the study? This will prevent you from modifying the study until you unlock the study again. When a study is locked, you cannot add files, delete files, rename files, edit files, rename the study, or delete the study.
Yes, lock the study. Cancel.
