The new top-menu is overlapping the content

Even when scrolled all to the top the new menu which came with the latest
update is overlapping some of the content.

I'm working with Firefox on Ubuntu.

You need to widen the window a bit. There's no way to tell if that div is 
wrapping
(and thus ending up taller) or not, and thus no way to push the feed header 
down just
a bit more to make it work.

Not without some JS running checks on the height of that box and adjusting the
margins as needed.
