Minor comment fixes. #26

I wrote "this" instead of "self" because I saw other comments say "self" when functions modify an argument, and "this" when they return things.

This PR crossed with a major update, and rather than wrestle with conflict resolution, I made these changes myself. Thanks, and keep the PRs coming...
