Fix warnings and build with `-safe-string` #32

avoid pattern matching on Failure messages
remove unnecessary dependency on ocamlfind
remove unnecessary *.version files
remove unnecessary ocamlbuild files
fix the build with -safe-string (default on OCaml 4.06)
add OCaml 4.06 to the travis matrix
