assertion failed in app/functoria_graph.ml:248 #168

when working on a new storage configure-time key (@linse and myself), we ran into this assertion failure. (a similar issue with the same assertion has been previously reported at #70, fixed in #83.) maybe the error message should be a bit more explanatory?
