I saw this today on the ocaml CI (https://opam.ci.ocaml.org/github/ocaml/opam-repository/commit/50d922a31693b13aa28f36adc4967290bac1d2f4)

2021-04-17 11:00.15: Job failed: OpamDownload.Download_fail(_, "curl: code 404 while downloading https://github.com/mirage/mirage-http/releases/download/2.5.3/mirage-http-2.5.3.tbz")

The URL gives a 404

It's really weird... nobody really uses this repository and the last release of mirage-http in the opam repository is pretty old. I think you found an old artifact of an ancient civilization. I don't have the story of this repository nor where comes from mirage-http. @avsm, do you have any clue about missing tarball?

This repository is something experimental that tried to unify httpaf and cohttp under a common interface but I don't think it's very useful. Now I think it replaced an old mirage-http repository that no longer exists -- with some digging I found that it's been moved to https://github.com/mirage/old-mirage-cohttp-adapter.

Ah! So tarballs should be available here. Note that the goal of this project (so, this mirage-http) still is interesting. I mean, if you are able to provide a common interface the the HTTP client between HTTP/AF and CoHTTP, it's useful for us.
