/cc @psafont, since mirage.3.7.1, we don't want to abstract the io type and specialize it directly with Lwt.t. Not sure that it's good for you, but, for the next release, we should upgrade ocaml-vhd with last versions. It's ok for you?

It's been a while since I last tried to upgrade mirage. I think this library along with shared-block-ring are the only 2 libraries that need to be updated to use mirage >3.7.1

I agree that this update is long overdue so go ahead, I'll manage somehow :)
