Slider with infinite range breaks layout - range to be checked #188

Automatic ranges in for ranges - leads to a problem with the layout Observation:

undefined variable set into the rang widget
minimum and maximum were used to set range property - huge numbers
automatic scale_width stopped to work
initializing range to normal vale properties -auto-scale restored...
