Policenauts not working on PS2 #6

Other patches work fine, but Policenauts hangs on a black screen after ps1 logo when using model 9000x PS2 slim consoles. It seems to happen with pcsx2 as well, but the unpatched game (translated and original) is able to launch there. Have been unable to test with my model 30004 yet, waiting for a laser replacement to arrive.

My 1002 model PS1 is able to start the patched version occasionally, but the game crashes and audio skips quite often since the laser is so worn out. Ordered replacement for it as well and will report the results later.

So I installed both lasers, fat PS2 now reading discs fine but still unable to start the game. The replacement PS1 laser works a bit better than the original one but even still I am unable to get past any cutscene movie with it. So in the end I decided to try finding a used PSOne.

But it seems all PS2 models have trouble starting the guncon patched version of the game, other patches work fine on all my PS1/2 models.
