Hey,

I''ve installed the extension and it deleted all my bookmarks. How can I restore them?

Hi Pavel,

If you mean that after you checked the "Remove existing bookmarks" and selected the sync folder it removed the bookmarks that you already had in that folder, then there is no way of restoring them. The same happens when you remove any other Chrome bookmark or folder.

At this point I removed the option to automatically delete existing bookmarks on SYNC and only kept that option when you do a manual SYNC from the options page. I also added a WARNING message when you push that button. You can check the new 0.20 version.

If you want to avoid this in the future, you need to periodically make a backup of your bookmarks (http://ccm.net/faq/31791-how-to-backup-your-google-chrome-bookmarks). Unfortunately all you can do at this point is to try a System Restore (http://www.computerworld.com/article/2864065/desktop-apps/recovering-lost-bookmarks-in-chrome.html).

Regards, George

Well,

I had 0 bookmarks in Chrome folder and 500+ bookmarks in browser. In this case sync means copy these bookmarks to folder, not delete them.

I cannot do system restore, I do not use Windows. I also searched for any form to contact Google. They would be able to restore my bookmarks easily. No luck.

"sync means copy these bookmarks to folder, not delete them". Yes, this is correct. There is no way Google Bookmarks can be deleted. You are saying that it removed Chrome bookmarks outside the selected folder?
