linewise visual mode's selection can disappear when selecting only one line #5

Linewise visual mode works as expected, except that the selection can disappear when only selecting one line. This has to do with the way Ace draws the selection layer (which Jim then make 100% width).

This is a 0 out of 10 on the Awesome Scale. Fix it
