Embedded DSP with FAUST - CCRMA Workshop 2019

Key Actions and Takeaways:

-worked very closely with Nicky, on a deadline, to build a digital audio effect device

-design of digital comb filter, delay effect with feedback and modulation

-design process of case and interaction with device

-electronics build for basic knobs and switches

-tuning of parameters for expressiveness

-hard decisions about cutting back features to meet the deadline

-learned foundational knowledge about the platform

-learned most of the limitations of the platform

-got a good idea of other platforms that would provide more power

I generally became much less tentative on approaching the physical design and build aspects of the product, case, components, tools, etc. Learned and documented a lot of code knowledge about the FAUST language that I have committed to using. Completed a full set of phases for design, software, and hardware. Coming out of last week, I am going to create as much of a business plan as possible and detail the business functions as I currently understand them.
