Does anyone know the solution to this one?

Happens after opening the app on shield pro. photo_2021-11-22_16-50-36

Hello. Have you got this issue now ? What the language are you used in the shield pro ? en-US ?

mistertest commented 2 years ago

It was certainly temporary, just take a new try, I don't think that the issue is persistent

Unfortunately nothing's changed. Reinstalled, still not working.

May be i installed it wrong? I downloaded the file to my pc -> usb flash drive->shield->apk installer -> done. Launching xcloudbeta and the same error appears. P.S. Is there any guide on how to install it properly? P.S.S. Appreciate your time answering me.

Hello, I tested my application last night with my pro tv shield with the English - US language setting on my shield. And it worked well. So if you are using this language, that's not the problem.

I think this is already the case but you will have to choose the right current version: version 4.4

And maybe, yes, there is a problem with the method you are using for the transfer. Personally I use my Drive account to transfer from my pc with the "X-plore" application on the shield.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lonelycatgames.Xplore&hl=fr&gl=US

And you will have to enable the Google Drive function in X-plore. Read this tutorial: https://theunlockr.com/how-to-integrate-google-drive-with-your-android-phone/

Some users use the "Send files" application https://send-files-to-tv.fr.uptodown.com/android

Anyway Of course, you will have to allow "Unknown sources".

JasmineDragonV commented 2 years ago

Thank You! Will try that and let You (+everyone in the future reading it now) know if it worked or what was the problem. Have a great one!

JasmineDragonV commented 2 years ago

I'm sorry to say that, but it didn't work.

Language was set to ENG-US though i do use some other language on shield and TV sometimes. Permissions for uknown sources ✓

Tried with "X-plore" and with "Send files" as you mentioned. Transfered apk file to shield successfully.

At first Installed xcloud-shield using default installer -> successfully -> open = same error. Later tried with APK Installer -> installed successfully -> open = same error. So the way apk is transfered seems not to be the case, or am i mistaken?

Now it's time for stupid questions, that somehow might lead to insight on the problem:

  1. Do i need to download and transfer all the files or Xcloud_Shield_V4.4.apk only?
  2. Do i have to keep gamepad connected (or even use it) when installing and opening the app, or could it be done with remote? Or doesn't matter at all?

I think the problem might be somehow related to logging in/connecting to the servers. It looks like this : When I launch the app, white screen appears for 1 sec; it feels like during this time it tries to load the page where i need to login but doesn't have the access or is blocked by something, resulting in an error from the screenshot.

-- And yeah, i know that my suggestions might sound dumb to you (i'm noob at programming) but the more info, the more chances, righ? Sorry for my terrible grammar as well.

Hello @HiddenDweb . No your suggestions are not stupid, and you speak well. Can you test the apk test here and the 4.3 version and say me if it is the same for you .

https://github.com/mistertest/xcloud-shield/blob/master/version_test/xcloud_Debug_ControllerV1.apk

https://github.com/mistertest/xcloud-shield/releases/tag/version_4.3

mistertest commented 2 years ago

But I don't know wy your case is isolate, I can't understand why because, others users haven't this issue.

mistertest commented 2 years ago

And test to clear all cache from your device.

mistertest commented 2 years ago

@HiddenDweb After the previous tests you can test this new debug app called: "debug_ErrNameServer1.apk" and say me if it resolve your issue.

the apk debug is here : https://github.com/mistertest/xcloud-shield/tree/master/version_test

mistertest commented 2 years ago

@HiddenDweb Have you tested the apk debug_ErrNameServer1.apk ?

JasmineDragonV commented 2 years ago

Thank You greatly for providing all the info.

I will try it this week, in a few days because can't right now.
